My individual project & Class project

I'm struggling with the idea for an individual project. I am one of those people who have always been told what to do, how to do it, what to write on, or even when we were given "freedom" there was always set choices. I know I want my intended audience to be students, since they are going to be my future focus in my career :) I'm debating the idea of a field trip or class project in the community, and I wanted to focus on my hometown Utica. I don't know a whole lot about Utica's history or any specific problems it may have had/has, so I thought I'd start digging around there. Still working out the details, but those are my thoughts for now.

Today's class I feel was very productive. It seems individually people are working away on their specific tasks, and it was good to talk face to face and with the planning group. I will be curious to see how it will all come together as we gather more info, nail down an exact plan, etc. So far, I feel overwhelmed but it will be easier as we work together.
